The Story
We were in Cocoa Beach, Florida as guests of a space contractor to watch the launch of the Delta V rocket at Kennedy Center. The morning of the launch, Monique and I woke up early and took a walk along the beach behind our hotel. The sunrise was magical, as I found out how East Coast sunrises can be. As I was setting up for a long-exposure shot of the shore, Monique called out to me "Look at that flock of birds!". I looked up, pointed my camera towards the sky and squeezed off 2-3 shots. Sometimes you plain get lucky.
